She needed to do this moment her way today, a batman shirt, her sparkly pink dress, baby Violet and her self, going down the lane to pick blackberries.
Very cute (as always!). The last time we were visiting in Batavia, Leigh took Jeff's cowboy hat and was posing with it. Her mom made a little comment about "Gampy's influence" since she does not really like "country". I was glad to her dad (my son!) correct Becky saying, "She's got a right to have her own likes and dislikes". I can see a few fashion conflicts in the future there! LOL
@olivetreeann by this age, I've learned to save my strength for battles that matter, clothes and hair don't usually matter, but when they do, she knows I'll let her have her way again when I can.
Oh- I meant between Becky and Leigh! You are right. I think it's good when children have a sense of who they are through their "style". The clothes will change through the years but I like seeing how children express themselves that way. It's sort of carefree and there are no predetermined limitations on what can go with this or that- that is there's no problem with a batman tee and ballerina skirt. (And Leigh looked great in the cowboy hat too!)
