And no, it isn't all about abortion. Years ago, 1987 to be specific, my husband's sister, April gave him this t-shirt, and when it wore out, he had me paint him another. It says "a man of quality is not threatened by a woman for equality!" I'm blessed to share my life with this man. I applaud the marchers world wide today because the woman's issue, is really not about Trump, or only about women. It is about all of us, people who need to be respected and be responsible for respecting others. We don't have the same needs or dreams but we should have the same rights. Equal chance to live safe lives, trying to reach our dreams without infringing on someone else's rights. While I know some people think this is only about one or two issues, or that it is a waste of resources and energy, it isn't really. It is about self respect and at the same time, respect for our equals.
I'm home instead of marchingtoday, storms and a bad knee keep me indoors but still, my heart believes "a man of quality is never threatened by a woman for equality." And all of us need to make the world kinder again
Great shot and sentiment. I joined the approximately 5000 people in my city in Australia at the march. It's great to see how many people around the world got involved.Hopefully soon we'll all learn that we're stronger together, when we look after each other.
