My delight in fall leaves increased when I learned that the colors are always there, just obscured by the work of making green food from sunlight. I like the thought that once the work is done, the real beauty can shine through. My granddaughter saw that in a McDonald’s worker last night, I have to love the way Miss D views the world. Going for ice cream last night, the employee who took our order smiled a lot. Daisy said, “She is beautiful!”
Really?
“Yes! She has lots of wrinkles in her skin so I think she paints her hair black, but she is so beautiful.”
I only wish the lady had heard her.
