Ten minutes after the end of January, 1997 my Dad let his final breath fade away. It still shocks me to the core when I realize how 22 years have passed since that world shattering moment. Funny how those 10 minutes mattered to my Mom in that she got to keep his February paychecks. Ten minutes before May ended that same year, the boys lost their daycare grandpa too, and those minutes meant his wife had to repay his June paychecks when his retirement monies arrived. Minutes, Years, the things life is made of, and funny how much some count, when so many others pass without notice. So much love lost in not having those two men in our lives after that.
So sad Dixie & it seems very cruel to take almost a months wages away...it is so important then when a person dies in the USA...don’t think it works like that here. You win some you lose some on timing!
