Apple and redwood cone

The redwood towers over the fallen apple tree, and though it is larger by far, its cone is dwarfed by the apple
Interesting shot, Dixie, nicely done. Is this in your yard?

@aikimomm I'm doing one of my extra albums all of one old Apple tree in my yard over the 19 years we have lived here, but it isn't a recent picture, now the tree is laying down, and blooming

@francoise if there are, they aren't anywhere around here. This is all I ever see

It must have been another kind of pine tree. Joe's mother had one in her kitchen from some anscestor who had been a logger in the pacific northwest. It was about 1.5 feet long and definitely would have taken a chunk out of anyone's head had it fallen on him.

@francoise yeah, I've seen a couple big cones somewhere in displays but never around here.
