I'm not known for maintenance so when my shower started turning dingy, even after scrubbing, my solution was to spray paint the walls red, then 15 years later when the paint is scratched, I start seeing shapes and naming them. This one is a bird, because I'm also a parrot fan. I might be known to greet her with a "hello, Polly" but I'll deny the truth of that rumor if asked
