When I need to calm my thoughts I need to have my hands busy. My grandmother used to quilt, and my mom used liquid embroidery pens, I either doodle or paint. It isn't as good as I could do if I spent the money on good equipment and put in at least twenty hours per canvas, but it serves me well, I paint on canvas like paper and spend about three hours a picture unlike back in the college days, but I dedicate my perfection creativity level to my writing. This is for fun
There is nothing wrong with drawing for fun and not perfection (and I know you know that!). That's sort of the way it is for me and poetry. It's fun when it comes, but I'm not writing it to put it in a poetry compilation! Nice picture!!
