Clock

This clock is in the centre of a small housing estate. The estate is now called The Gardens but it's original name was The Cottage Homes. It was a children's home built next door to a workhouse in 1900. The workhouse later became a mental hospital and then evolved into a large medical centre but the Cottage Homes have remained untouched. Although the buildings are all private homes now, there have been no changes to the buildings and most still have the original tall sash windows.
Lovely photo of the clock tower and some interesting historical information about the area surrounding it. Sash windows always remind me of my grandmas house.
