Last night visited the Halifax Industrial Museum under going refurbishment not open to the public, with the camera club,
this is part of an Jacquard power loom circa 1830 that uses a punch card operating system to make the patterns in the weave
it was so poorly lit had to set my camera on a tripod with exposure 30 seconds ISO 160 at f32 just to get the detail required.
@suesouthwood Thanks Sue, It was a little challenging was trying to get as much detail as possible, I only took two shots both turned out quite well under the circumstances:)
Wow, on first sight i was totally flummoxed.. only the narrative brought the slightest recognition.. it's an amazing image. love the close looking PoV and the colours.. love how the scene at the rear of the threads shows up so well.. a well crafted image..
@onewing Thank you Babs for your lovely comment, it was great to wonder around without the public there, I just kept bumping into people with cameras and tripods, lol:)
@jorlam Thank you for your wonderful comments Jorlam, it was a little dark and needed push the boundaries to get the detail all the way through the shot:)
