Wollaton Hall by pcoulson

Wollaton Hall

Wollaton Hall top = front elevation, middle = side elevation showing stable block on the left, bottom = rear elevation,
Wollaton Hall was built between 1580 and 1588 for Sir Francis Willoughby and is believed to be designed by the Elizabethan architect, Robert Smythson, who had by then completed Longleat, and was to go on to design Hardwick Hall.
Excellent triptych. Very impressive architecture. Nothing like this in the 1500s in Australia.

@stray_shooter Thank you for your great comments Ron would you believe they were taken on a Bank Holiday weekend, had to wait ages to get a people free shots and clearly did not manage it, top two had to resort to removing the offending people in Photoshop, the bottom one was a group of Italian tourist that spent ages taking group shots elected to leave them in, lol:)

Sue
A very impressive looking building, and you have illustrated it well by using 3 shots
