My Friday people this week is Robert the shot taken at the 1940's weekend at Brighouuse I notice Robert sat outside the pub taking in the sun, I thought he was dressed as a Town Clerk how wrong I was, Robert explained as a retired bank manager he thought he would dress up in the style of a 1940's bank manager and had researched photographs of the period from his old bank, I think he may have pulled it off.
@365anne Thank you so much Anne for your comment its appreciated, do you think he was the Walmington-on-Sea bank manager, he has the spectacles for it, lol:)
Robert's spectacles do not leave much room for his 'Dennis Healey look-a-likes'.. they look rather squished.. other than that he looks the part, even to the gorgeous buttonhole.. Peter, this is a fine portrait showing Robert off to his best..
@quietpurplehaze Sorry for the delay in responding Hazel, I've been in Lincoln until this afternoon, must admit I was immediately drawn to this gentleman he was sat with his wife also dressed to impress just taking in the sun, I did ask him not to smile and just look important he smile and said he would try his best:)
