@dawnee thanks Dawn, amazingly its in a busy part of the town, to my back is a large supermarket and behind the trees a large business park, to the right the Canal lock gates leading through to the river yet it is a quit and restful spot to spend some time:)
@henrir Thank you Henri, the boat in the foreground had spent the night and was preparing to move down the canal, most of the others are semi permanently moored up and some are lived in all year around:)
A familiar sight of one of your local haunts.. i've not been here this year so am astounded by how large those trees have become..
i'm looking at the glorious sunshine and the lovely cotton - wool clouds.. I know, Peter, just a few hours after you had tripped the shutter on this lovely peaceful scene, the weather deteriorated, everything was soaked and windblown for many hours..
With our very volatile and changeable weather, living on one of those boats would not appeal to me..
@jorlam Thank you for your lovely constructive comments Jorlam, I was at Sainsburys shopping and as the sun was shinning took a look at the marina, no more than 5 minutes after this shot was taken the heavens opened, up fortunately I was driving home:)
