Courtyard

One corner of the newly laid central courtyard part of the Piece Hall in Halifax, all laid in natural stone
I like the tones.

It is very difficult to tell the scale of this stonework. At first I thought the little fancy pieces were steps, then I thought they probably weren't!

@suesouthwood Thanks Sue its hard to judge the scale in the shot, its approx a 40m x 15m section, the 3 slots has water running down those small steps that disappears through slots at the bottom, the ramp on the left is one of the wheelchair access into the courtyard:)

Wow, that must have been a lot of work to complete, with so many patterns and shapes. Great example of masonry work.
