@angiedanielle24 Thank you for your lovely comment Angie, its very simple to do, I used a printed sheet with diagonal lines taped to a back board place a glass of water about 3" from backboard lit the glass from above using an angle poised desk lamp, I did use a tripod but its not essential simple as that, different patterned backboard create different shapes in the water see attached link to give you some ideas, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=39SmbzpedTM

I used 2 angle poise lamps for my shot, one on each side with the light shining on the backboard.
@onewing Thank you for you comment Babs this was inspired by your image the other day, I did have two lamps available but preferred the way one light highlighted Micky's features:)
