Letheringsett Watermill is the last remaining watermill in Norfolk still producing flour,
The Domesday book of 1068 records a mill on this site although the current building was constructed in 1802,
Mike and Marion Thurlow took over the disused mill on the River Glaven in 1987 and restored the mill to working order, it is still family owned and run.
@tinley23 Thank you Lesley for your comment, the daughter and husband now run the mill her mother and father have died, it uses locally grown grain and supplies local bakeries and is listed as a tourist attraction they have a little cafe to help supplement their income:)
@ludwigsdiana Thank you Diana, we had visited the mill late afternoon the day before and they were taking delivery of grain so was not grinding the wheat into flour, the owner told me the best time to see it all working so we returned the next day, it working it was very interesting:)
