Supposedly you put a cup of white vinegar and a couple quarts of water in a bucket or sink and slosh the strawberries around and the bugs fall off. Probably wouldn’t work for your bugs but might be worth a try!
The top and right shots are great captures- your strawberries look so juicy! The left shot creeps me out, but it is a great macro to capture that nasty insect moving along the red surface of a strawberry! I hope you win out, Peter!
@louannwarren Thank you for the tip Lou Ann, if there is the slightest sign of bug they are not picked, all those that are picked are very well washed in cold running water and checked again before eating:)
@365projectorgheatherb Thank you so much for you wonderful comment Heather, the bugs are tiny 3mm long and just look like black blobs on the fruit, we are winning up to now, unfortunately we are going away tomorrow for a week so they will gorge themselves:)
