Shot of an old shed taken in infrared and processed into Faux colour using Photoshop. posted just as a example to show my finished colour image for comment for Jorlam @jorlam and Babs @onewing am I getting any closer the mark with this one?
Hi Peter.. what a lovely scene you've chosen to photograph. much better for NIR than the last one, river etc. Water, not being alive, does not reflect NIR.. only live objects reflect that part of the spectrum.
the detailing is beautiful as is the whole scene and the sky has come out especially well.
Now, have a good critical look at this image Peter..
where is the sun?? i said to keep it to your back and have it ILLUMINATE the OBJECTS being PHOTOGRAPHED. Sorry for shouting.. i write in English and you, apparently, read in double-dutch..
You have one patch of light, centre foreground which is lit by the sun. this has resulted in some colour. the rest of the scene is devoid of sun and colour, except for the backdrop, everything behind your stated object - shed etc.
it is the backdrop and that one acer which is properly lit for NIR.
imagine what the scene would have looked like, if foreground had been properly lit.
sorry to rain on your parade but i do want you to succeed in this venture.. 😊
@jorlam Thank you for the critique its most welcome Jorlam that's what learning is all about, sorry you had to shout but I had taken your advise in the main, I took lots with the sun directly behind me when it was out, this shot was taken for a camera club competition "Derelict Beauty" seems it did not make the grade will try harder next time, once again thanks for your constructive comments they are appreciated:)
