Here's a bit of serendipity - being in the right place at the right time to photograph the super full moon as a halo around the CN tower :) The term "snow moon" is the historic name given to the second full moon of winter by certain Native American tribes. Heavy snowfall is also the reason for its alternative name - "hunger moon”, due to lack of food availability. The full moon tonight will be closer to earth, making it appear larger and brighter.
