Great shot of this pretty flower. Know it as : kievitsbloem - Fritillaria meleagris . The Dutch name comes from (an egg of) a bird it very looks like .
@pdulis it's not the best pic I've got of them - but it's the one I could find. If you like them you could buy your wife some as a present - and then have the entirely incidental pleasure of shooting them next year! ;-)
What a beauty --- and lucky you, this is exactly the flower I want to plant in my backyard because it attracts butterflies and bees and won't be eaten by squirrels.
