Seljalandsfoss is one of the best-known waterfalls in Iceland and I was lucky enough to climb behind the falls to capture the landscape as well. The waterfall drops 197 ft and is part of the Seljalands River that has its origin in the volcano glacier Eyjafjallajökull. This region around Vik is full of beautiful waterfalls.

Did you find the path down trickier and more slippery than the one up? I thought for sure I would not get out without breaking either my leg or my gear! LOL
@gardencat - the path was a set of steps going up and in behind the falls - it was definitely wet and you had to watch your steps - but I felt it was safe as long as you are sure footed with good hiking shoes :)
