The Dilworth Historical/Preservation Society has recently placed these new historical district markers on top of all the street signs in the neighborhood. I'm not certain how long they've been there. I just noticed them the other day. You can see a small part of uptown Charlotte in the background which makes this photo a bit more interesting ~ maybe. :) I also took a photo of the sign in front of our CPA's office when I delivered our tax info this morning. But, trust me, this one is definitely more interesting. At least I'm caught up on my posts now. :)
Wonderful composition Peggy....the signs in the foreground and buildings in the background meld together to form a really unique and interesting theme shot! :)
That darn tax season is scary, isn't it!! My absolute favorite part of this shot, and many of your shots, is how clever you are with your watermarks. Awesome!!
Nice shot and I love the city in the background. I am not sure why but I always take pictures of street signs. It is fun looking through some of my vacation pictures, you always know where exactly I was staying during a particular vacation.

Tax season used to be somewhat stressful around our house until Tom decided to let a CPA handle it. When I took all of our documents in yesterday she told me that she was finishing up with her corporate clients and would get started on ours next week if that was OK. I told her I had no problem with that at all as long as it was finished no later than my birthday. She looked a little concerned until I smiled and told her my birthday was April 15th. Tax deadline day has always overshadowed my birthday. :)
@peggysirk Oh man, a tax day birthday. I'm so glad you have someone else do them. I used to hide when Don would do the taxes, then he started having someone do them. Then when I quit my job, I would get everything organized, and it wasn't really that hard unless there were stocks involved. Then we still haul them off. I remember the days of claiming credit card interest. Oh my God those days were horrible!!!

If you go half a block north on Cleveland you'll be at my house. Then I can help you get wherever else you need to go. :)
Thank you, all, for the lovely and supportive comments. They really are confidence boosters. I appreciate the time taken to look at photos and respond. You guys are great. :)
