I took this in daylight, but I darkened the background so that it would be a better contrast. That's all kind of contrary to daylight savings time starting tomorrow...and the wonderful longer days. :)
Wow, Great shot Peggy, I'm with Barb, we are going to show up at your door one day, BTW, I use the same camera and my moon shot don't come out like this.

Thanks, Barb and Madeline! I have to admit that I just get lucky with moon shots. I don't have a clue about specifics...I just put the camera on a tripod and go through all the settings until something good pops up. I didn't use my Nikon, Madeline...my Lumix p&s has an amazing 18x zoom which is more powerful than the zoom I have for the Nikon.
Would love for you both to come to Charlotte...we'll sit out on the patio with a bottle of wine and shoot the moon! :)
I never thought to do something like that to one of my daytime photos of the moon. The detail is absolutely gorgeous. Japan doesn't actually observe daylight savings time. Makes it a bit awkward sometimes when calling home stateside. Thanks for the follow and kind words.
