Soup Kind of Day by peggysirk

Soup Kind of Day

It's a cold, rainy day...however, the rain is expected to change over to snow at some point late this afternoon. It's been the perfect day to stay inside and cook. I made a big stockpot of marinara sauce to use for Eggplant Parmesan tomorrow and the rest to freeze for later. And then moved on to making Potato Soup for dinner tonight while we're waiting for the first snowflakes to fall.

Three good things:
1. Snow...especially when one lives where it doesn't snow very often.
2. Soup...any kind on any day...but especially when waiting for snow :)
3. Slow, easy winter days
This looks delicious Peggy. We too are waiting for snow to fall tomorrow and a big pot of soup is the best meal for the cold weather.

Peggy, we would have to have some pretty messed up DNA, but I swear that we could be sisters! I made a big kettle of soup on Monday and actually took a picture of it that I was going to send you. I decided I wasn't happy with the picture so I didn't. Your soup looks so creamy and yummy and delicious. YUM! I hope you get your snow. :)

Oooh that looks cosy. We expect snow for three days...that's fine so long as it clears up before too much hockey gets cancelled....

Answer the door, I am outside with my own empty bowl.

Oh this looks luscious. Have to wait for cold weather, though, otherwise I'd be knocking on the door with Terry @sarasdadandmom .

Yum!! Now I really wish I live closer so I could score a dinner invitation! I love all of your three good things. Snow, soup, and a lazy winter day are the perfect combination.
