Three good things:
1. Tomorrow is Tuesday.
2. The courage shown by Martin Luther King during the turbulence of his lifetime. (Today is MLK Day in the US)
3. Another gorgeous January day...sunny and mild...although I think it might be the last one for a while.
A BIG fave Peggy, for the subject of course.....dear Scrappy...... but also for your texture, composition & lighting. Just gorgeous! Have enjoyed watching your ingratiation today, I applaud your patriotism in your country!
Great shot of Scrappy. Fortunately our MOnday has long gone and another hot day has begun. (Well remember the Martin Luther King days and the horror of his premature death. My admiration for the man has never flagged.)
Great expression and a great angle for that poor left ear! Big exciting day for you over there though Obama was a bit shouty in the bit I heard - mind you he'll need to be shouty to get things done. Can't believe it's still warm!
@judithg Judith ~ Our good luck with the weather is "fixin' to change" (as we say in the South). Only reaching a high of about 38 degrees (3C) and 20 degrees (-7C) tomorrow night. All good things must come to an end.
Yes, politics has become quite contentious over here... and more mean spirited by the day it seems. :(
Scrappy looks like he is pondering the state of current affairs. And is being overwhelmed by it all! Love the b and w, and the sparkle in his eye. And the ear of course!
Oh sweet Scrappy. Glad to see he is still around - and you, too, of course. Great photo, Peggy. Love the textures. I'm attempting a come back but I have found the morning trying to edit and upload a bit frustrating. If you check out my upload you can read about it! I guess it's good for the brain, though, to learn and relearn. Peaked around your project a bit yesterday. Great photos, as always. Question for you . . . what's the backstory on the three good things? I notice Pat Knowles is doing it as well. Love it.
@barbsmith The three good things was started by a 365er, Martha Wright, who had attended a psych class/seminar dealing with the power of positivity. She suggested that anyone interested attach three good things about their day to their daily photo posts...a bit like a 'gratitude journal'...an exercise in focusing on the good and positive as a way of elevating the quality of one's day. Quite a few people started doing it and some of us have made it a permanent part of our posts. Feel free to join in! :)
