My Little Work Space by peggysirk

My Little Work Space

I was at a total loss for something to photograph today. So, I settled for a shot of where I "365". I never realized that there was such a thing as a 12" deep desk until furnishing our urban small space home. :)
We are under tornado and severe storm warnings for this afternoon and tonight, so I wanted to post early in case power loss becomes an issue later. Hoping that's not the case as I have a lot of comment catching up to do.

Three good things:
1. The Weather Channel ~ especially when the weather is crazy. Although Tom just left to drive to ATL and it's making me just a little apprehensive seeing that he'll be driving through the gates of weather hell.
2. A free hotel room when we go to Charleston, SC next month thanks to Hilton Rewards points
3. An afternoon pick-me-up cup of coffee
Very nice cozy corner to "work" on 365... Stay safe and in the house.

What a lovely little office you have Peggy. Your chair looks very comfortable. Nice idea for a photo when your weather sounds too horrendous to go out in. It all sounds a bit frightening so hope you and your husband stay safe.

Much tidier than my desk at the moment !! really struggling to keep up with all I want and know I should do between Jack , Jasper , work and the rest of the family - in that order I think :-) this looks peaceful and in control !

Love seeing your work space. Where's all the clutter - you know, stacks and stacks of paper? I'm at a loss today as well. Took a few photos this morning but haven't made a decision yet. I read a post on here somewhere recently suggesting a "default" photo for days like this. The same indoor scene was shot on those days but used a different editing technique each time. This might be a good subject for you! Safe travels to Tom.

It really IS fun to see where you work at your computer... It inspires me to tidy up a bit, as I'm not sure I'd be ready to share my space!

Wonderful - love the warm wood tones and the leather...a very comfy place to work and play. Thank you for sharing a glimpse into your home! Just talked to my sister in Atlanta - it is miserable there...prayers for safe travels for everyone in the South today!!!

I like it , looks like a great place to view my wonderful, heart stopping, pictures...That chair I would fall asleep in... I can tell you how to never have a power outage, buy a generator. I had 2 or three a year in my neighborhood, I bought a generator, 3 years ago and have not had one since

@glyn I well remember those days. Back when I was dealing with kids and dogs and the demands of life, I would have been lucky to find my desk under piles of paraphernalia...and that was ok with me. :) Don't sweat the small stuff ~ you rock!

@barbsmith I love that idea of reworking a default photo...sounds like a good solution to my recurring problem of 'what to photograph'.
Tom rolled into Atlanta safe and sound last night. :)

@bpaquette Atlanta really got hammered yesterday. It took my daughter almost two hours to get home from work, a normal short 20-30 minute commute. ATL traffic is a bear on good days...I don't miss that part of living there. Glad all is well with your sister/family in the fabulous ATL area.

@sarasdadandmom Terry, my husband has been talking generator as an insurance policy for quite some time. If I wouldn't have to use it as an end table when not in use, I might go along with that idea. :)
I just hate that I missed your daughter's visit to our fair city last weekend!! Now that you have my email address...keep me updated on any Hall family member future trips to CLT!

Really nice shot of such a pleasant working area. Hopefully the storms will subside. Tornados are so scary!

Oh you're so tidy! My desk is a disgrace. Very comfy looking chair though. The weather sounds crazy. Very jealous of you heading down to beautiful Charleston. I'd love a bit of light, warmth, sea and Southern charm!
