A Ligean ar a Téigh a Fháil Beoir

Translation: "Let's go get a beer". These members of one of several Pipe and Drum Corps in Charlotte's St. Pat's Day parade appeared to heading toward a pub/bar after they reached the end of a rather long parade route...that's just a guess. :) Hope everyone has a fun St. Patrick's Day!!

Three good things:
1. Corned beef and cabbage for supper tonight
2. One more incredible mild March day before the rain/chilly temps move back in tomorrow
3. ACC basketball championship game this afternoon
Haha i bet they were, most men in kilts end up in a pub x

@redfl I thought that was a pretty good guess on my part, Carole. You, being a Scot (I think), have confirmed it. :)

Don't they look splendid in their kilts Peggy....a lovely colourful scene!
I must say you do celebrate St. Patricks Day in style!

Lovely tartans! For all the Scottish Games I have been to, you'd think I would know which clan.

I am sure you are mistaken, they look like milk shake people to me. LOL

This is a lovely shot Peggy. I particularly like that you have caught them from behind (so to speak!) through the branches and really love the glorious reds in the shot. You seem to make more of St P's Day than those of us who live so close to Ireland.

A great colorful shot. Love the POV - seems you might be sitting in a tree. Of course I'm always drawn to that "aerial perspective". Happy St. Paddy's Day!

I love that they're not wearing primarily green, actually! I think after a stint playing the bagpipes, I might be ready for a beer, too!

Very smart - must have been hot!

Great capture, Peggy. Love the network of branches overlaying the shot, too. (I'm not posting much lately; just popping in from time-to-time to catch up with your delightful shots.)
