It's Opening Day for the ATL Braves. I love this time of year. Go Braves! This is Tom's very old glove from his high school and college days. It still fits. :)

Just trying to work out were the opening is Peggy! I'm not sure what a baseball glove looks like which would help, this one must be very well worn & loved! Hope you have a very good season!
@happypat In the photo the glove is slightly folded vertically to hold the ball in place. When it's unfolded it looks like a big leather oven mitt with the opening at the bottom to slide a hand inside. This one is very well worn and barely holding itself together. :)
Nice one, Peggy. Does Tom still play? Bet he will with that new little grandson! I'm chuckling at Pat's response. Having grown up in a family with brothers who played, and a son who played I forget the rest of the world doesn't know baseball. Guess it is an "all American sport" eh?
@barbsmith No we are not into baseball at all...football & Rugby here but I have seen it on the TV so know roughly what it looks like , something like what we call Rounders?
Oh I loved my gloves!!! Getting a new one and oiling it and putting it under the mattress with a ball in it to soften and mold it was exciting. But nothing beats the feel of a worn one! Thanks for the memories!
