Fortune Cookie by peggysirk

Fortune Cookie

I have the good fortune of living two blocks away from a little Chinese restaurant. Last night, since Tom was out of town and I was feeling a bit house bound - my car is still in the repair shop, I phoned in a take out order and walked over to pick it up. I love cracking open the fortune cookies and reading the fortunes/sentiments. I thought this one was good enough to stuff back inside and photograph.

Three good things:
1. Being alone and isolated for a couple of days. I've done an amazing clear out and clean up of drawers and closets.
2. Kung Pao Chicken and fried rice
3. Watching something download really fast
Always a moment to capture. Don't you find you get so many more things done when you are along (for a few days anyways)

@dora I can get so much accomplished when I'm alone! I actually look forward to Tom's business trips when things are piling up or I have projects I want to work on because I don't have to stop to fix dinner or pay attention to him. :) And being home without a car is even better...I can't distract myself by going somewhere else. :)

You will feel good about all these things! How else to capture the moment than by camera!

Good advice... we should capture the moments, and not let them just pass by.

Well that message couldn't be more perfect for a 365'er! :) Glad you captured the moment and I hope you enjoy your "me" time! :)

I had to stop by and comment on this. I can't imagine a better fortune for you. You seem to reach out and grab life by the tail, which is something that I love about you. I know this will sound strange since we have only "met" twice, but you have inspired me many times by your zest for life.

Fortune cookies are always fun to read. Creative idea you came up with here. And now you made me hungry for Chinese food. I never had Kung Pao chicken....must try!

That's what we're all about!! Yes I know what you mean about getting on with things - I have to do a MAJOR wardrobe clean out as a matter of urgency!!

What a perfect fortune for a photographer! I love your composition with the crumbs surrounding the broken cookie. It must be nice to have a restaurant within walking distance.
