The snow melting off the roof is transforming into icicles on the holly bushes below. Thankfully, it's supposed to be much warmer by the weekend.
Three good things:
1. Hot showers that steam up the bathroom on a cold morning
2. The smell of the coffee aisle in the grocery store
3. Moments of absolute perfect silence
So pretty Peggy....love that ivy covered with the icicles....make a beautiful picture. Pretty framing too....#2 GT is one of mine too specially when someone has just ground a bag of coffee.
This picture is so pretty Peggy, even though I know you would much rather be enjoying your beautiful holly bushes without the trauma of ice! I feel so bad for everyone involved in the weather mess in the south. It seems like a horrible combination of an area not being used to that level of a storm, bad communication and bad planning. Glad you are home where it's safe!
@petersonsheri Fortunately the Charlotte DOT chose not to play the odds and pre-treated the interstates, major highways, roads, and overpasses. And the Board of Ed decided the night before to close schools. So we didn't have the same issues that Atlanta had. That was just crazy chaos!
Btw Peggy you know that book you recommended The Fault in Our Stars there is a film of it coming out in June over here ...Jack showed me the trailer last night. Must go to that one.
@happypat My daughter, Molly, and I are both looking forward to seeing it. We both fell in love with the wonderful, brave characters in that book. I really want to see the movie you just saw...August:Osage County.
