Fav! Great catch of the elusive brown thrasher. Beautiful colors, details and fab DOF!! They love to hide and I rarely see one. PS Thunderstorms I can do without unless there's no close lightning. Lightning terrifies me :-)

What kid of bird is it? He’s nothing something we have around here. He’s pretty! And I started a diet January 3rd. Fourteen pounds down and more than that to go, but I will get there by summer!
It's a brown thrasher, @lisabell. They're actually rather run of the mill brown on top...but kind of cool streaked markings underneath. They usually migrate up your way in the spring, but they are known to be shy and elusive. This guy didn't seem to be the least bit shy. ☺

@happypat Don't be hard on yourself over a few pounds, Pat! You are obviously active and fit. A couple of pounds will come and go. I, on the other hand, have let things go too far. Ten pounds is totally unacceptable. It's time to turn this ship around. ☺
