Sunday Visitor

This little possum was investigating a corner of the back garden that I was getting ready to rake and clear out. Opossums are pretty cute when they're young. But, bless them, they do not age well.
Three Good Things:
1. Last night's rain washed away a lot of the massive amounts of tree pollen.
2. A beautiful morning to get some things done outside...until the golf tournament comes on this afternoon.
3. The US has four times as many Bald Eagles as a decade ago, according to the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and the US Fish and Wildlife Service. There were around 79,000 bald eagles in 2009, and recent 2020 counts are at 316,000 thanks to effective recovery/protection efforts.
He's a cutie pie youngster! Nicely captured. Enjoy the tournament - a great Sunday afternoon activity.

Good to see this possum, the only one I have seen before is a dead one on the road in NZ where there are plenty apparently! Hope I’m not missing too much with the golf....thinking it might go to Japan although I haven’t heard today’s play yet.

@happypat Yes, Pat...Matsuyama made history yesterday. Japan is in celebration mode.

Oh what a tiny little thing! They are wonderful bug patrols, but rather scary looking when they grin. I am sure their mommas love them.

As the nuns at school were fond of saying, ‘It’s inner beauty that counts!’

Spot on in your description of possums! This one is precious! They live in our yard somewhere (woodpile, perhaps?) as there isn't a night we don't see them walking around the yard!
