The turkeys seem to be on a mission as they continued to walk from the neighbor’s through our lower yard. They didn’t stop to investigate the hundreds of acorns on the ground in our yard.
@ludwigsdiana These birds have nothing to fear from hunters in our township since small game hunting is not permitted. Their biggest danger comes from foxes and coyotes. Generally they do quite well over the winter. I used to feed them in our driveway. Once they got used to me they tolerated my presence and I even got one to eat out of my hand once.
