One thing I often do is take photos of the same scene, both on different days and conditions, and with a range of film and digital cameras.

what you're doing is very like Giovanni Lipari, did I ever link you to his deathofyouth project. I emailed him for the cameras he used too, he give me a long list, several were Canon and several yashicas. great to see same subject in different cameras and film, just like him, but he was financially broke by the end of the project.
