I know I said I would be done with photos from my prairie photography outing, but then I came across photos from our final stop of the day that I had previously overlooked. We visited an area called "Castle Rock", rolling hills dotted with funky rock formations seemingly jutting out of the ground. The landscape was so different from the prairie that I wanted to add one to my album. I liked the scale of man to rock in this shot. B&W suited it best. Another Nik Silver Efex Pro processing experiment.
Reminds me of a quote from my favourite novel (Pride and Prej - Jane Austen) 'What are men compared to rocks and mountains?' What an impressive feat of nature, captured and processed perfectly.
Sort of o.d school movie set look to me. Love the scale that the person adds to the shot. I am expecting to see a 50s lizard-like monster come out from behind that rock...:-)
Congrats.
I love the B&W.
scale with the man in the shot. Great in black and white
wonderful b&w
