Common Owl Butterfly

I visited a butterfly exhibit at the local zoo with my photography meet-up group yesterday. The butterflies were beautiful and plenty. This is one of my favorite shots from the visit. I really liked the way the bokeh created leading lines to the butterfly. Taken with my new Canon 100mm macro. Yay! I have been pining for that lens forever.
Soo pretty in the golden light.

Oh, this is great and I love that I know the name of a butterfly I was photographing over a year ago at our Calloway Gardens Butterfly House! And I think you're going to love that lens!!

Lovely image. Tones, lines, textures. Really nice. Great lens too. Mine is a permanent fixture (when not experimenting with Lensbaby).

@tina_mac Thanks Tina! I am excited about all the possibilities with the macro lens, too. I notice that you like to use your 50 mm lens a lot. Do you have the 1.8 or 1.4 lens? I am debating between the two. Not sure the 1.4 is worth the extra $$.
