Taken on a day hike with my family yesterday. They limited my photography to minimal snaps along the way and even so I was perpetually having to run to catch up with them. I suppose that's the photographer's lot. On the bright side, I sure got my exercise!
Thank you for visiting my album. I appreciate the time you take to view and comment.
It's hard to take time for yourself when you have a family - those snatched moments are precious. Now we are 'empty nesters' and my hubby is very patient. My son is also into photography - it's fun when he is in town and we go take pics together. :-)
I know the feelings of trying to catch up with the fellow walkers. It is very hard to concentrate. Maybe we just have to give photography a rest when there is a good accompany. Nice view and weather in the shot.
I know how difficult it is to get shots you're happy with when you're out and about with other folks, reckon you did OK here. ;-)
This is lovely, it looks almost as if you're on the edge of the world and there's a great sense of space and distance to it.
It looks a beautiful place for a hike Lisa. My shots are divided into two - the ones I take when out by myself, thinking about carefully and taking them from different angles, and the ones where I feel I have to hurry up so I don't annoy those I'm with at the time.
Very beautiful view - it can get frustrating getting the shots you want when you're with people can't it. My family's very patient but I never want to push it
@camim Thank you so much, Camila. So happy you like it. This was taken at a ski resort about 20 miles outside of Boise. The chair lifts are idle this time of year, but people still like to go mountain biking and hiking on the trails.
Lisa, I can SOOOOO relate to trailing behind my family whenever we're walking outdoors somewhere and I have my camera. I absolutely love this composition - the way you framed it with the tree, the depth and layers of beauty. Wonderful!
Looks like a gorgeous hiking trail! Hope to do some out in BC later in the week! As Kareen said I can relate!! I was half a mile behind everyone on the beach walk last week! haha
Very pretty! I was sort of laughing though- I was thinking that you should just pick out a good spot that would keep you busily shooting and wait for them to come on the way back to the car to go home!
So beautiful! I can relate to that...its hard to keep up with the fam on a walk when you see all this beautiful stuff to snap away at! I always get left behind!

I know exactly where you're coming from in terms of being left behind whilst taking shots!
