My family and I like to visit this little 1950's era drive in restaurant for its ice cream treats. They are famous for their "Boston Shake" - a milkshake with an ice cream sundae on top. Delicious and very decadent! I took this when we were there for a treat last night. My husband and two sons are the ones waiting in line to order. I had fun with the processing to enhance the retro look of this little slice of old Americana. By the way, I thought it was cooperative of the yellow VW bus driver to place his somewhat vintage and color coordinated vehicle in the background of the shot. :)
What a great location! These 1950s restaurants seem to epitomise Americana for us in the UK - every time we visit the US my kids make a beeline for them! The processing is great for this
Very cool, Lisa! I love your processing, it adds to the retro feeling of this capture. I wish we had cool places like this. That shake sounds divine! :)
With a name like Fanci-freeze they'd have to have the best shakes! Now I'll be thinking about a chocolate milkshake for the rest of the day! Great retro processing.
Oh boy! One more reason to visit Boise. Milkshakes are famous in this area too, but the restaurants are only open in summer. Great retro look to the photo.
