spectacular Lisa .. love the symmetery in the composition and those light trails blended with sunset hues and that blue in the disatnce ... also like the sharp red and white trails on either side ... a very succesful attempt ...another to-do for me :-) FAV
The light trails are wonderful Lisa, very well captured, but what makes this image for me is the overall composition and the repetition of the street lamps leading the eye into the picture.
@riverlandphotos Yeah, it was a little unnerving to be up there. The traffic below me was loud and there was a lot of traffic going over the overpass. Although I was safely on the sidewalk, I still felt too exposed for my comfort. And, then no less than half a dozen drivers felt the need to honk at me while I was doing my thing. Gave me such a startle each time! Thanks for your comment!
I'm speechless Lisa: if this is your first attempt, whatever will your light trail shots be like with practice?? This is superb - the colours, the symmetry, the composition, and of course the light trails themselves. Another fav!
@dolphin Thank you for your high praise, Molly! I really appreciate your comment. I was pleased with this, too. I am already thinking of the next possible light trail locale. It was a lot of fun to try! I always appreciate your thoughtful comments and support. So glad to be on this photo journey with you!
Wonderful light trails and you picked your time so well to get the sunset, fab. work! You're braver than me, my attempt at this was pathetic because I don't have the nerve to get high up above the traffic.
@marmaladeskyes Hi Tracy, I experimented with different shutter speeds. It seemed like any from 8 - 15 seconds worked well. This one is 15 seconds. Definitely give it a try. It's a lot fun! Thanks so much for your comment.
What a wonderful shot Lisa. Not only are your light trails fabulous, but the composition with the street lights and then the wonderful colour sky in the background make it a big fav for me.
Safety first, Lisa. What makes this for me is the time of day. You picked up great light and color in the sky to complement your light trails. The off-center position of the street lights helps too. Fav.
@rvwalker First off, welcome back! I didn't realize you had returned. Must go and check out your album so that I see what fun you and Linda have been up to. Thank you for your comment and fav! I was pleased how this turned out, too. It's almost magical to me to see how the camera transforms the scene. I had scouted out this particular overpass because there is a wide sidewalk. It was safe - just not very pleasant due to the noise and some rude drivers! Anyway, welcome home again. :)
@roadshow Thank you so much, Gloria! So glad you like this. I was pretty pleased with the results, too. :) I appreciate you visiting so many of my shots today!
