MY CAR DASHBOARD

OK here's my problem with my 365 project.

When I work in the office I cannot have a camera on site (company rules forbid it because it is an R&D site and it is a sackable offense to have a camera onsite - mobile phone cameras are excluded from the rule).

I cannot have a camera in my car either because we can be searched on exit by security.

I have no problem with the rules, they are there for valid reasons.

Anyway the issue is, when it is winter and I am in the office then when I leave for work and return to work it is dark and therefore photo opportunities are a tad limited !

I could not go for a lunch time walk today (and therefore take a daylight photo) because it was pouring down with rain.

On the journey home from work, I was stopped at a railway and tram level crossing and noticed that my car dashboard was lit up rather nice. A quick use of my mobile phone and I had my pic. The blue lighting is actually reflected light from a nearby petrol station rather than pretty lighting on my dash.

So there you have it. My 365 project will be easier when the days get longer, but for the next few weeks you will probably be getting 3 mobile phone pics a week from me (however my HTC Desire phone is holding up quite well so far :)

WOW that was an essay explaining why I took the pic ! Oh yes and it's 40K miles on an 09 plate Peugeot for the observant among you - that's 40K miles in less than 2 years to my friends from North America

I like it! I agree it is hard to find a photo to shoot in the winter time when you have to work all day and come home in the dark..very creative shot!!

well you my find quite a few dashboard shots sprinkled around on here, i have 1 too so welcome aboard..
i like the fact we have to post 'mundane' everyday shots. I really like it, and a good record of your day.

@seattle Constance, thanks for the comment, I'm working from home today so I should be able to get a street photograph in, but at the moment (08.30 hours), it is raining and we have very little light about - so it might be a "grainy and rainy" shot !
