HIGH KEY BOOTS by phil_howcroft

HIGH KEY BOOTS

I was struggling for a subject yesterday, so I tried another still life.

These are my boots photographed in a classic pose.

They are actually in the same position as yesterdays orchid picture (on my laminate floor), but the post processing high key effect has lost the detail in the floor!

I think my boots look quite trendy when worn with a nice pair of jeans, but neither of my daughters like them !

My usual post processing technique of just moving the sliders around until it looks OK. A maximum 2 minutes post processing otherwise I lose interest !

Phil
I actually prefer this treatment to the floor. It makes the boots the focus for sure. Did you try this with your orchid? I'd be interested in what that would look like. These boots have a lot of character.

@allie912 Thanks Allison, if i tried it with the Orchid I think I might lose the shadows in the foreground.

The boots are very comfy, I like to wear them :)

Phil..I really like the way you used the high key effect to lose the detail of the floor in this shot..it really makes the boots" pop out" in the photo..I like the boots!

@patsyjphillips Thanks Patsy, yes they do 'pop out'. Hopefully my next few days photos won't be still life shots :) and I can move away from the laminate floor.

Your photo is very good!
@phil_howcroft , for me is the same :))))))
Away from the laminate floor - the solution is buying scrapbook papers, photo background sheets... For my today's photo I used background sheets...
