We went to burntstump country park this morning for a walk with Ruby.
She's not very good in a car as she has been sick a few times on her travels, but we decided the best way to overcome this is to do a few short journeys and see how it goes. The trick worked as she was OK on both legs of the journey. Normally I drive, but as we were with ruby. I had the privilege of looking after her for the 8 minute journey to the country park.
This is an overgrown lake in the park which as you can see is very green !! lots of reflected light .
Very pretty, it looks like the type of place Monet would paint. Glad Ruby managed not to chunder, Philip and Billie used to get car sick but grew out it thank goodness. I have fond recollections of being a huey receptacle for a tiny little Philip in North Yorkshire (not really it was horrid!). Are her staples out now?
What a beautiful scene, Phil! I'm glad you had good luck with Ruby. @whippeteer Frances...chunder...don't know that one but I'm sure my guess is correct. :)
Glad you weren't sicked on!! Monty's been sick today - not sure why but he's a devil for scavenging food from the pavement so he's probably found something unpleasant. This is a lovely shot - tricky lighting and it's great.
love the rippled refelctions - superb greenery and the obligatory ducks sailing past! Dasher used to get sick in the car - we did the same - short journeys etc and she got better - could even tollerate a 2 hour journey in her later years!
Thanks all for your kind words and comments, running late with commenting so I hope a group reply is OK
