The view from the No. 58 bus (revisited - revsited)

A a view from the front seat of the top deck of the number 58 bus.

I think this is my fourth shot from the 58 bus.

This is Nottingham City centre on Saturday afternoon.

It's a busy street (upper parliament street) as it has a lot of bus stops. The buses used to terminate in the market square, but were moved out of the square a few years ago, so lots of buses now terminate here.

The changing face of our high streets are summed up by a pawnbrokers on the left hand side and two shops away (out of picture) there is another pawnbrokers too (the money shop).

Anyway a monochrome city centre scene, shot through a rather dirty bus window !

I can count NINE buses in this shot ! (TEN if you include my number 58)
nice one... coincidence, caught a bit of a crossing in my other snap today and was thinking I should try for an abbey road style shot one day..

Possibly my favourite of your bus shots so far. Love the positioning of the three people on the middle of the zebra, very artistic!

It's bus-tactic Phil- plenty of support for public transport in Nottingham. Great from the high angle.

The amount of buses here is amazing & you are back to your old haunts !!! Quite a Beetles moment on the zebra crossing !!!

Your bus shots are fabulous, and this is no exception.

Do you get to the bus stop early so you can neb the front seat, Phil? :)

The zebra crossing seems busier than the road?

great street shot - superb pov and looks great in B&W

@anron anita, the upper deck is always sparsely populated and people don't really seem that keen to sit at the front :) so the seats are often free :)

Great top-deck capture. You are right about the bus fest! Nice grouping on the crossing too. It reminded me of Abbey Road by the Beatles but probably because that is the iconic image of a zebra crossing, although it is not that similar on close scruitiny: http://www.gibson.com/Files/aaFeaturesImages2010/beatles_abbey-road.jpg They kept the paintwork up to scratch in those days! It was not taken from the top of a bus either.

@phil_howcroft interesting - top deck front seats on London buses are highly sought after and rarely left empty so it is very hard to bag one.

Yes Abbey Road! Nice one.
