Not a sausage, but a ride at the famous Nottingham Goose Fair.
We went to the Goose Fair on Wednesday Evening.
The Goose Fair is one of the largest travelling fairs in the UK.
It runs in the first week of October and Wednesday was the first day of the show.
Ideally I'd have liked to have been there at dusk because you get some lovely skies around dusk, but by the time we'd had tea and walked Ruby dusk had gone.
It was raining hard when I took this image, so this helps the lighting reflect better off the floor.
I was a little disappointed with my images from the fair, bit it was a dark wet night.
@sparkle thanks juliette, the fair was very busy...everybody from the city goes there :)...even if they don't like it....it's almost mandatory.......the ride was just about to start :)..have a great weekend:)
These rides are so well lit & they shine beautifully here ! You must have got pretty close to it, did you actually have a ride on it ? I hate fairground rides but like the atmosphere...I will hold the coats !!
@happypat Pat, no rides, just a walk around the fair , i had a go on the side stall were you throw balls into holes and the horse moves on.....kentucky derby??.......I think featured one on your 365 :)
@cath catherine, the fair is over 700 years old and the name derives from the thousands of geese that used to come from Lincolnshire to be sold in Nottingham.
