Yesterday was a beautiful sunny day, but in the late evening the mist and fog descended and basically stayed with us for all day on Sunday.
The mist / fog meant that the cobwebs in our garden were quite pretty 'early doors'.
I took a few images while tidying our garden pond and cutting a few shrubs back.
This is about the best image I came up with. I converted it to black and white because the bokeh background had quite a few red pyracantha berries which were detracting from the main subjects.
The light is a solar powered lantern that hangs on our decking !
Shot with manual focussing and held held...I should really have got my tripod out, because it is not quite as sharp as it should be !
Lovely the way it just hangs there & so intricate in the making ! I think you have done a great job with this Phil & I like the dark background...it shows the web off beautifully !
really cool shot Phil - my spiders have all gone taking their webs with them! Need to find a location that has some more to capture a web as cool as this! nicely done with the lamp in shot too
@phil_howcroft LOL, there's wet and damp and there's heaving it down so hard that you don't want to go out in it to find webs and any webs that were left have been washed away!! :o)
