@marlboromaam marlboro, young lively and fruity to my tastebuds, .........according to the label...velvety intense cherries on the nose ,spicey cranberries and redcurrents to taste!!!
just a slight correction, though (sorry to be pedantic): both "cosecha" and "joven" wines are younger than "crianza" (while "reserva" and "gran reserva" are older...) ;-)
@davidchrtrans cheers david , thanks for your comments....and thnx for the info regarding "cosecha" and "joven"......I didn't know that !
Campo Viejo only do crianza, reserva and gran reserva over here ....I'm planning on serving a gran reserva on Christmas day....although i don't know if it might get a little lost with all the flavours on Xmas Day
@judithg ahh judith ..the days of being a 'taxi driver' have gone now....i remember when my daughters were early teens ..I taxi drove almost every weekday !!!......Don't worry though your children will soon pass their driving test and will want to borrow mums car ...and then you will have to buy them a car ..enjoy your 'late' G&T's :)
I love the wonderful feeling of relaxation that Friday evening brings. Sounds like a nice way to unwind. I'm afraid I'm not knowledgeable about vintages since one sip makes me drowsy!

We've tried a Cuné Monopole Viura (from Waitrose) which is rather nice :)
