Winter Pansy by phil_howcroft

Winter Pansy

This is a one of several winter pansies' that we planted last weekend to add a splash of colour to our garden in the winter.

You can see them from our kitchen window, so in the short hours of daylight they make a nice display.

The petals are a bit speckled...not because of the nature of the flower..but because the heavy rain we had last week has splashed back some muck onto them :(

I'm posting out of sequence again and as we approach christmas i seem to have less and less time on here. I should catch up again in a few days !!!
Bright, warm color for a cold morning in South Carolina! Thanks for the little bit of sunshine, Phil! Lovely pansy!

Nothing beats the cheer and brightness of the pansy holding up its head on the coldest day. A great shot of this stalwart garden resident.

Very cheery Phil - I'm a bit shocked you haven't been out with a flannel wiping her petals down ;0)
