Italian Snail by phil_howcroft

Italian Snail

A snail found in our garden this afternoon. I was planting some courgettes we'd grown from seeds into a few pots. The pots were behind my shed and I found this little Italian snail on the terracotta saucer of a pot.

How did I know it was realizzato in Italia.......well it said so on the saucer !!!!

the macro settings on the panasonic TZ7 are pretty cool
LOL - I thought you were to say something about garlic!

Wow! Wonderful colors and patterns in the shell. Nice textures, too. Looks like this poor critter just died and dried up, Phil!

Isn't that a wonderful house, love those swirls & colours just like one of those Uncle Jo's mint ball type sweets !! I don't like the look of that bit coming out of the shell though as @ marlboromaam says looks like it could be dead !

Fantastic macro - he looks as though he may have had a slight crushing episode which has healed, obviously a snail with a story!
