Wonderful chimneys & it all looks lovely & symmetrical. You don't see many Barbers poles nowadays , its all unisex now isn't it? Perhaps not in Arnold & you wouldn't be seen dead in a ladies hairdressers!!
I like the leaves in the top it softens the outline & I love the little face in the window!
Love the symmetry and the warm tones. I really like the window box on the side of the building. Glad you pointed out the barber shop. I thought it was a flagless flag pole!
A really nice shot Phil, I love these terrace houses with their warm red bricks, especially the barber's shop on the end. (also the satellite dishes all aligned!)
I agree with @busylady - proper northern (though in my eyes Nottingham is 'south'!) rooftop shot. I see they've all got dishes as well as aerials now. I like an aerial - it's photogenic - a dish not so much!
@happypat thanks Pat...actually I go to the same hairdressers as my wife (not together I may add) .....a nice man cuts my hair :) .....Gary...he does a good job :) .......in fact I think I've always gone to the same hairdressers as my wife !
@judithg thanks Judith, Nottingham has lots of rows of terraced housing...I'm thinking of doing a series of 'a view from ASDA car park', because that too has a rooftop car park...1970's architects ...must have been a fad in those days !
@allie912 thanks allison, on the subject of flags , there are still quite a few flags flying from the jubilee festivities and the England soccer team are playing a european soccer tournament, so that encourages a bit of flag flying too !
I like the leaves in the top it softens the outline & I love the little face in the window!
I bet they don't offer 'Something for the weekend, sir?' anymore haha
