A bike in Mahon (Mao)......post processed in photoshop element to give it a watercolour artistic effect.
Why did I go and apply a watercolour filter? Well there's a lot of light and shade in the image and the end of the passage was too blown out. The red sign on the floor is for a tattoo shot which seemed out of context for such a pretty little city and tranquil back street. So I decided to go all artistic.
As we walked past this street I told my wife wait a minute there's a bike there to photograph ....she said why photograph a bike in a side street...I said well I have a friend on 365 who photographs bikes and her work has inspired me to have a go ...so thanks to Judith @judithg for pointing me in the direction of bike shots !!
A fave for me too Phil just because of the way you have brought out the best in this scene. The bike is in just the right place, the flash of red with the undesirable bit moved out & all those lovely textures together with the low down angle & the curve into the sun at the end...I think you can gather I like it!!!
@happypat WOW thanks for the wonderful comments Pat, I was a bit dubious about posting this image because the post processing took it away from being a photograph and therefore out of my comfort zone
@judithg thanks judith, my wife does shake her head sometimes at things i point the camera at, but then she often likes the end result...she really liked the fish market shots !!!
