This is the view peeking over the bridleway hedgerow when we went blackberrying on Sunday.
These are the rolling fields of Calverton and Woodborough just a mile or so north of Arnold
Sunday was a nice day but about 4pm it went all dull and overcast and this made photographing the valley rather difficult. The resultant image is a tad grainy / noisy, but maybe that adds to the mood a bit.
The bright bits on the horizon are the Trent Valley (the path of the river trent as it heads north out of the cityof Nottingham). It's quite misty on the horizon, probably because it was raining in the Trent valley and 10 minutes later it was raining on us !
love the different coloured patches in this Phil. Plenty of Blackberry's around here too - especially round the back of my shed! I should get out there before the birds do!!
@judithg well judith her misbehaving was to attempt (and partially succeed) in rubbing her neck in some horse poo on the bridelway ....she was in serious trouble and i had to do the cleaning when we got home !!
I like this as there is such contrast between the different fields unlike mine yesterday all the same colour. The white house at the join of the corners of the fields stands out so well too. It is amazing when you look across & can actually see hear the rain coming towards you, we have had hail today.
What a wonderful panorama to distract you from your berrying! We don't have hedgerows in the States. When I read that word I always get an image of country lanes.
